Valentine’s day

Friday 14th February 2020

I have prepared a nice goodies parcels to all three of my family people, which were awaiting for them on awaking in the morning. The note said: “Be my Sri Lanka’s Valentine!!”

I got a card and a bottle of Pimms – looking forward to make a big jug of it for some friends to join me by the swimming pool.

We had a cooked breakfast with Steve before he left for work, I had a few meetings to attend that day and then collecting kids from school at 4pm knowing they will celebrate with pizza from Pizza hut (reheated today as we had a dinner there the day before).

We left the kids at home and took a taxi to go to Kingsbury hotel for dinner, just the two of us, in a seafood restaurant; one of the best in town apparently.

It was delicious. I even got a doggy bag as the portion was too big.  We bought some hand made pralines for the kids, sat down in a quiet place drinking cappuccino (they had decaf for me, would you believe) and got home just after 11pm. We did have a lie in the next day.

What a lovely Valentine’s – we should do it more often!
