Steve’s friend of over 38 years, David arrived in Colombo from the UK for his 3 weeks holiday, kindly using much of his baggage allowance for ENGLISH GOOD STUFF as Emilka calls it to feel at home and close to our English roots and life.

It seemed like Santa arrived early, and the pleasure especially on Emi’s face was picture perfect. Ham, cheese, sausages, haggis, Cadbury and Galaxy chocolate, Celebrations, Orange segments, cereals, wine gums and Biscoff cookies and spread – this is only a fraction of David’s list from when he was shopping for us. 

We feel lucky to have genuine friends who care for us, and I knew that when he left Sri Lanka to go back home to the UK, we would put some SRI LANKAN GOOD STUFF in his suitcase; fresh king coconut, papaya, pineapple jam, mango chutneys, cinnamon sticks, curry spices, teas and some souvenirs, perhaps an elephant!
