Saturday 18th January 2020

We had a very nice surprise on Saturday morning. 

A door bell rang and Emi said, “You go mummy, we are not expecting anyone!” The driver of one of my friends found through International Expat Association was standing there, clutching a bag with a big box of purple Quality Street, Australian chocolates and a big bag of frozen blackberries. How kind this was from my friend to think of us, take the trouble of shopping, spending money as all imported, and sending her driver to us.

She made our day. She knows our kids adore English Quality Street and she also knows I bake a lot and the blackberries will make a delicious topping for a nice spongy cake.  Misa had recreated the logo on the front cover whilst choosing one for after dinner. Emi even had one chocolate for breakfast the next day. Well, why not?
