Friday 5^th June 2020

Another Poya full moon day and therefore a public holiday on the island, but the government re-imposed full curfew to prevent people being tempted to travel and mingle.  How else to celebrate therefore if not with dear friends, a tasty meal and a few drinks overlooking the evening city from the rooftop terrace.

We always have an enjoyable time; two families are just right to sit round the three tables and this time were supplemented with our good friend Pavel.  Two mums prepare some delicious dishes to share and the guys bring it up to 38^th floor along with something to wash it down with. We spent a few hours together before the guard arrived at 10 pm for locking; the two Mums already at the pool with the kids whilst the boys enjoyed a night cap and solving the world\’s problems.  They would have sat there and drank until the morning given half a chance as the weather was nice and balmy.
