Interesting breakfast
Sunday 17th January 2021
Our dear friend Rajeev (receiving a back massage from Emi), who was staying with us last weekend treated us to a breakfast at the Shangri-La hotel, walking distance from our place.
There were diverse choices available (no pizza for the kids though!) and I selected to try Asian soup. So many different vegetables and mushrooms – I personalized it with no spiciness, just aroma. Mmmmm.
I also had some fresh fruit, muesli and pastry with a deliciously smooth cappuccino. Steve had a “semi” English breakfast with poached eggs but instead of grilled mushroom and tomatoes, grilled vegetables, and no baked beans. Apparently the sausages were delicious and the bacon nice and crisp.
Misa and Emi had their usual of bacon, sausages, egg, fruit, pastry and two plates of smoked salmon (very rare to see smoked salmon between the buffet items).
We had better use the opportunity to eat out again before tourists flood the hotels bringing Covid with them; the airport is now open for tourists to arrive, travel and either leave in a bubble if less than 14 days or go solo thereafter but it only takes one to break ranks during those first two weeks.
Anyway, I wish you could experience such a lovely breakfast with us.
