After another extended period homebound we decided to go out for dinner on Friday evening to escape the apartment; delicious food and nice to be joined by our good friend Pavel, but so sad to see the large dining area all but empty with the smartly attired and well-drilled waiters waiting for someone to serve.

On leaving we walked past a cake stall and Misa persuaded Rennie to buy his favourite cake; a blend of velvet cake, cheesecake and mousse in the shape of a heart with a white chocolate decoration on the top.

Even though I\’ll go for the port and cheeseboard every day of the week I have to admit that it was every bit as exquisite to savour as to look at; a wonderful blend of tastes and textures.

After the nice treat it is back to lockdown at 5am tomorrow morning, so let\’s see what the week brings.
