We are back to lockdown. Yes, you read it correctly.

As Covid-19 cases and deaths increase with by far the biggest wave so far (three times greater, and rising), the Sri Lankan government is tightening the rules.  As it is Eid El Fitr today to celebrate the end of Ramadan and there is a risk of large gatherings, they put the whole island into lockdown to minimize the spreading.

The cupboards are stocked, the freezer is full, online deliveries are ongoing, so we will be fine. Boring though it is we must not leave the apartment until Monday, and then only on alternate days driven by the last digit of passport or ID card until the end of May.  The situation will then be re-evaluated.
