One of the privileged parts of my life in Sri Lanka is the opportunity to visit cafes and tea lounges and enjoy the relaxing time I have with my own company or with other people/friends/family members.

I had just seen one new mother and had about 50mins before going to see my physio so finding myself standing infront of the T-Lounge by Dilmah, I went in.  Instead of the iced tea I would typically get, I ordered the vanilla tea that we first got to taste when visiting the Grand Hotel in Newara Eliya.  Each of us had loved it. 

I am not a tea drinker, but to my pleasant surprise a wooden platter with a special flask and a timer was brought to me and an explanation given of how to best brew my own cup of tea with all the extra ingredients provided. This is what I call a celebration of tea.

I will be definitely recommending this to all my friends and be taking my Steve and my mummy there, too.
