Following ten years in Shanghai, my good friend Aruna and his wife Shameera lived in Tokyo for five years before returning to Sri Lanka.  She is currently back there studying, so when visiting Aruna for lunch yesterday and given the honour of naming their new kitten, Tokyo was the choice; easy to call, a bit different and with reason to think of Shameera many times each day.

Having been worn out by Misa and Emi, Tokyo settled down for a rest in a shadowy part of the living room but with a nice soft light spilling through the net curtains.  With the base of my compact travel camera on the stone floor to get as low as possible, and this and the two second timer allowing a slow shutter speed, the above image was the result.
