Mothering Sunday

Sunday 22. 3 2020

A Mothering Sunday with our extended family or an outing for a nice celebratory lunch was out of the question this year due to the ongoing curfew; coronavirus spread is still a huge risk to the population, so we had to stay at home like everybody else. Kids said they will have to do something for me and I was hoping it will be a beauty salon for pedicure from Emi and a back massage from Misa as they did last year in England. It was exactly that.

Emilka made me a luxurious breakfast – a banana pancake with yogurt and fruit, Misa made me a coffee, just as I like it.  I was given a home made card and a voucher for beauty treatment,  so I used it as I felt like. I was indeed in need of new polish for my toes and Misa’s back massage felt so good! We chilled all day and for dinner we had delicious vegetable soup. Nothing fancy, we will have to celebrate all the missed birthdays, anniversaries and any special occasions once it is safe in the world, whenever that will be. We will have to use our hope and patience.
