Me, Misa and his friend Eran helped to served about 160 portions of soup, third loaves of bread and boiled eggs to underprivileged people in Colombo.  This is a twice-weekly initiative of The Church of the Good Shepherd.

It was a humbling experience to be part of it and hats off to the lady who has made 200 portions of the chicken, vegetables and rice soup and boiled as many eggs.

The helpers cut the bread in no time and with pleasure we were serving all sorts of people who came on a hot Saturday afternoon with their container and bag to take that precious meal, for some the only meal of the day.   We know that in some cases, parents go hungry so that the children have lunch to take to school the next day. 

We live in a very unfair world and we have to try to make a difference, however small.
