14th February to 14th March 2023

Our very close family friend Nikolka and her partner Martin and son Adamek came to Sri Lanka for the second year running to spend a month down south to soak up the warmth, sun and relaxing atmosphere. They spent the first three weeks on the beach or by the pool, drinking king coconuts, eating seafood by the sea and just being together to appreciate life.

We spent a weekend with them by the sea too and they also came to Colombo for their last two last nights to have time together as adults whilst looked after Adamek. As my mummy is still with us in Sri Lanka, it was so easy as he loves her so much, trusting her 100% from a very close relationship formed through her babysiting him frequently since he was born. 

We also took the opportunity of all being together in Colombo to meet up for high tea at the Shangri-La hotel, a lovely treat courtesy of vouchers given to us by our friend David as a generous thank you gift on his return home in January from holiday with us.

In no time flat though, it was time for them to leave and return to the cold of Czech winter.
