Our very good friend Rajeev already had his mum and wife staying with him in Colombo, and then his older brother and his wife with their daughter arrived for a week’s holiday. He had to get his real family to meet his extended family and invited us all for dinner at one of the best Japanese restaurants in Colombo, Zen on Rosemead Place.

His 10 year old niece Senvi, who blindly adores him, was the centre of attention and the private room we dined in was filled with happiness and laughter all evening alongside delicious food and drinks. 

“How do you feel Rajeev?”, I asked him.  “I can’t describe.” he replied.  I knew exactly what he meant.  The happiness when finally your wish like this comes true is absolutely indescribable.  So many worlds colliding in one place.
