At the Stables
Sunday 1st May 2022
“Make-over Sunday – Come with a kilo of carrots or bananas and you can clean and groom the horses for 3 hours to have fun with them. “
What a super easy and clever marketing strategy from the stables, an incentive activity to get the kids out and to work hard in the heat with the horses, have some fun and pay for it in healthy products for them.
As we had nothing planned and Emi has not been to see her horses trying to help her focus on study, she asked me to sign her up for that to spend some time with her favourite furry animals.
Misa stayed at home, so we girls took a taxi and the excitement on her face going to groom horses was so sweet to see. She was so happy that the first thing she did was run up to her favourite, Valentina to give her a big hug.
Only four girls turned up for cleaning and pampering about ten ponies and horses, and they each took turns to do different tasks. Brushing, scrubbing, cleaning, sponging, shampooing, hosing down, creaming, plaiting their mains……. I have no idea how to pamper a horse, but she loved it. I sat and chatted and had the company of a furry friend too – much smaller and softer, but my kind of furry animal.
The heat was not too bad as the place is sheltered with trees so we both had a nice afternoon out – and for Emi, some physical stuff for a change.
